DISPATCH TIMES

Your order will automatically be dispatched as quickly as possible.

Please remember that our systems have to be totally automatic in order to give you the fastest service possible. Once your order is placed the system takes over and may well ship your order within minutes of you making payment.
Target time for an order is within 24 hours (1 working day) but in the unlikely event that your order will not be on its way within 4 days working days, you will be contacted immediately.

UK SHIPPING METHODS

Up to 4kg

• All orders are dispatched “1st Class Small Packets” by Royal Mail. A Royal Mail Certificate of proof of posting is always obtained.

• For security, packages over £35 in value, and those being sent to multiple locations in one address (i.e. a room, suite, flat or apartment), are sent by “Recorded Delivery” and charged 89p. (the price charged to BigVits by the Royal Mail)

• When giving a delivery address, please be aware that some letterboxes are not large enough for a vitamin tub.

Over 4kg

• Orders are sent by Courier. These will require someone to accept delivery at the address. A daytime telephone number is always required by the courier service and must be given when placing the order.

• For the schedule of Royal Mail and courier costs, details are available in the drop down panel in the cart.

EU SHIPPING METHODS

Up to 2kg

• Orders are dispatched by “Airmail Small Packets”. A Royal Mail Certificate of proof of posting is always obtained.

• For security, packages over £40 in value, are sent by “Recorded Delivery” and invoiced at £2.95, which is less than half the price charged by Royal Mail to BigVits. (£5.99 inc vat)

All orders over 2kg

• Orders are split into 2kg Postal Packages or by Courier, usually DHL. These will require someone to accept delivery at the address. A daytime telephone number will be required for the delivery agent. (You will find that the system automatically invoices you for courier, but, if we feel you will receive a better service by splitting your order, we will do so and refund any excess paid.)

• For the schedule of postage and courier costs, check the drop down panel in the shopping cart.

INSURANCE

If you wish to insure delivery of larger orders, the normal charge for both the Postal and Courier Services is £1 per £100 value.

This facility is available at the checkout.

DELIVERY TIMES

Once your package is with the Royal Mail or Courier Service, BigVits has no control over the time taken for delivery. As a guide only:-

UK

Depending upon the speed of 1st Class Post in your area, allow an approximate delivery time from order of 1-3 business days for both posted delivery and courier.
Bank Holidays, Industrial Action, Extreme weather conditions etc invariably cause the postal services to take longer to deliver. While we sympathise, we are unable to contol speed of delivery once posted.

EU

Depending upon the speed of services within your part of the EU, both Airmail and Couriers usually take approximately 5 – 8 working days. Airmail Small Packet Post to Malta, Italy and Greece can take up to 20 business days and have been known to take even longer.

PACKAGING & HANDLING COSTS

BigVits does not make any charge for the costs of Packing, Handling or Administration.
BigVits shipping department carefully package and deliver your parcel to the Royal Mail or Couriers as quickly as possible, always obtaining Proof of Posting.

UNDER-UTILISED POSTAL CHARGES

The real time or “live” checkout keeps you fully informed as to the contents of your cart and the shipping weights involved. You can quickly see if other items can be included without exceeding the current shipping weight band, giving an opportunity to buy extra items “post free”.
