Doctor’s Best Stabilized R-Lipoic Acid contains BioEnhanced Na-RALA, the sodium salt of R-Lipoic acid (RLA). BioEnhanced Na-RALA is in its natural and stabilized form of RLA that won’t degrade at high temperatures, and is more bioavailable and biologically active. Lipoic acid (LA) plays an important role in glucose metabolism and energy production. LA is both fat and water soluble. Studies suggests that LA may support the body’s antioxidant defenses. D-Biotin is an integral part of enzyme activity necessary for the breakdown and conversion of fatty acids and carbohydrates into energy.
